6/25/21:
YEARBOOK RELEASED
“There’s a deep sensitivity that penetrates the entirety of Yearbook...an album well worth keeping on repeat.” — NEUFUTUR
“The unapologetic and unpretentious way that Lippy invites listeners into his world is something more artists will hopefully aspire to do in the future.” — MUSIC EXISTENCE
“Tod Lippy’s fascination with the basic elements of human existence that generally feel skipped over or accepted without question makes for a brilliantly human album.” — VENTS
“There’s a genuine yearning and emotional component to be found in every piece of Yearbook, from each song to every instrument. Tod Lippy gives his fans something brilliantly structured and emotionally resonant enough to tide them over until whatever comes next...” — TOO MUCH LOVE
“Where has this uniquely insightful artist who creates dramatic, filmesque instrumental soundscapes behind his ruminations on an array of interesting subject matter been all your life? Delightfully witty, socially conscious and often gleefully incisive...” — THE JW VIBE
“There’s a selfless approach to each song and the album feels like a personal letter hand-addressed from Lippy to his listeners.” — Colin Jordan, MEDIUM
“An exceptional sophomore record.” — TAKE EFFECT

“MORE IN COMMON” PREMIERES ON StGA
“More in Common,” the second single release from Yearbook, received a premiere and review on the music blog Surviving the Golden Age. StGA editor wrote about the single, “Over a backdrop of gorgeous piano and atmospheric drums, Lippy’s reverbed vocals soar. With the track’s unique song structure and lo-fi recording, it sounds like a mix between Elton John and the Microphones. It is catchy but with weighty lyrics and a strong emotional pull — a triumph of both songwriting and musicianship.” Read the full review here.

NEW NOISE PREMIERES “AMBITIONS”
The lead single from the forthcoming LP Yearbook (due out on 6/25/21) was chosen as a track premiere by New Noise, who called it “a haunting number, reminding us all of what our hopes and dreams once were.” The track takes its inspiration from the ambitions listed next to senior pictures in Lippy’s high school yearbook. “GOOD START REMIXED” LIMITED-EDITION RELEASED
“Good Start,” the lead track on Tod Lippy’s first album, Here We Are (2019), was inspired by a saying passed down to his father from his grandfather: “A good start means you’re half done.” Last year Lippy reached out to a range of musicians he respected to see if they might be willing to offer their own takes on the song. He ended up with submissions from Julian Lynch, Sonic Boom, Kramer, and Carl Stone. The edition ($7.50) includes a 5-panel, 4-color insert as well as a download card for high-quality mp3s of the four remixes and the original single.
